Forehill Eco School

Forehill eco school needs your help. As part of the silver award we need to invent an Eco code. But what is that?

An Eco code is a way of telling everybody how we are going to improve our environment. It might say what we are trying to do with waste or litter. It might explain how we save energy and water. It could even include how we make the school grounds look great, how we keep healthy or how we reduce our carbon footprint traveling to school.

Eco codes can be fun and creative. They can be simple phrases, poems or songs, or even raps. Look at this Eco code which came from another Scottish primary school:

Litter is BAD

Don’t be fools

Do the right thing

Recycling RULES!

This is your chance to be a winner and make a real difference. Can you come up with an Eco code for Forehill. It needs to include some of the areas that we are trying to make better in school. It also should be easy to remember and FUN. Be creative. Be exciting. Be original.

When you are happy with your idea, send it to this page on the Forehill eco blog. We will all be able to see what you have come up with and a vote will take place in school to decide on our favourite Eco code. The winner will have their code displayed throughout the school and on line.
